I Remember September 11, 2008

I Remember

Do you remember

A day so beautiful, it hurt?

I remember

A day that woke the world, made us alert.

I remember a phone call

I remember the tv on

What we saw stunned us all

Happiness was gone.

I remember a scene

Of a plane

Like in a bad dream

Nothing was the same

I remember a day

That was sunshine filled

But darkened in a way

By the people that were killed.

I remember the pain

I saw it in everyone

It was like a stain

That hit to hurt and stun.

I remember 9/11

Nothing we could do

I remember 9/11

What ever you do September 7, 2008

1 Corinthians 10:31 says “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”

I have been thinking a lot about this – Who am I really working for?

Sometimes when I’m cleaning I’ll start getting upset at everyone who has left their things out for me to put away. Or when I have just cleaned and someone goes into the room and dumps their toys onto the floor, and I feel like, “Don’t they understand how much work I just did???”

But when I remember that it is my sweet Savior who I am working for, then I can have joy in doing my work well, because it pleases Jesus, who loves me SO much, He died on the Cross for me, and forgave ALL my sins!

So just remember, what ever you do, do it for HIM, do it for HIS glory! (This is a reminder to myself too! ).

Happy birthday, Alicia! September 5, 2008

Happy birthday to Alicia, one of our wonderful contributors and friends!  She’s turning 17 today!  I personally pray that God would guide this special girl in her life, bless her in her relatioships, and give her comfort when she is down and blue.  A truly talented, wonderful girl she is!
